Las Vegas Solitaire Turn 3
How to play Las Vegas Solitaire Turn 3
Las Vegas Solitaire with the stock turned three cards at a time and three passes through it.
About Las Vegas Solitaire Turn 3
Las Vegas Solitaire Turn 3 is Las Vegas Solitaire with the stock turned three cards at a time onto the waste, where only the top card is in play, and three passes through the stock instead of one.
The balance works the same way: each deal costs $52, each card on a foundation pays $5, and Cumulative score in Settings carries the balance from deal to deal.
Play a waste card during a pass and the cards after it fall into different packets of three on the next one, so the second and third passes can bring up cards the first one buried. After the third pass the stock stays empty. Switch on Winnable in the menu beside New deal for boards the solver proves can be won in three passes.
The marker at the foot of the stock counts the passes: it reads 1/3 on the first, 2/3 on the second and 3/3 on the last, and once the third pass is spent the stock shows no turn-back arrow.
Every card that reaches a foundation is worth $5 whichever pass it went up on, so a deal that ends with 30 cards home leaves you $98 ahead, and the time you take changes nothing.
Winnable boards come from the same solver that answers the Hint button. It keeps to the three-pass limit, so a board it proves can be won within three passes, and proving one takes it about a tenth of a second on a desktop computer. Like Las Vegas Solitaire, this game has no daily board.
The goal of Klondike
Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, one for each suit, building each from Ace up to King.
How to set up Klondike
One deck is dealt into seven tableau columns holding one to seven cards, with only the last card of each column face up. The remaining 24 cards form the stock.
Klondike rules
In the tableau, build down in alternating red and black: a red Seven goes on a black Eight. You can move a face-up card together with all the cards on top of it. Only a King, or a run headed by a King, can fill an empty column.
When a move uncovers a face-down card, it turns face up. Turn cards from the stock onto the waste; the top waste card can go to the tableau or a foundation. Once the stock is empty, the waste turns back into the stock: as often as you like in Klondike and Draw Three, twice in Las Vegas Solitaire Turn 3, and never in Las Vegas Solitaire. A card on a foundation may also come back down to the tableau.
Drag a card or a run to move it, or click it to send it to its best legal place: a foundation if one takes it, otherwise a tableau column. With Autoplay switched off in Settings, a click does nothing and only a drag moves cards.
