Tic-tac-toe games
Be the first to get your marks in a row.
All three are played against a computer player at Easy, Normal or Hard, or against a friend on the same device. Tic-tac-toe is the classic 3x3 game, Tic-tac-toe 5x5 asks for four in a row on a bigger grid, and Ultimate Tic-tac-toe sets nine boards inside one.

About these games
Players take turns marking X and O, and X always moves first. In each game the first player to complete a line wins, and a full grid with no line is a draw. Against the computer, Tic-tac-toe is played as the best of five and Tic-tac-toe 5x5 as the best of three, with the players swapping marks after every game.
The 3x3 game is solved: with perfect play it always ends in a draw, and at Hard the computer never loses it. Tic-tac-toe 5x5 and Ultimate Tic-tac-toe have far more positions, and the computer plays them by searching ahead. In Ultimate Tic-tac-toe each move sends your opponent to one of the nine small boards, and three won boards in a row win the game.
Every game is free in your browser with no sign-in needed. Signed in, you can open an online table for two, choose the board and a single game or the best of three or five, and play a friend with the table's code.
