Flag quiz games
Name the flag before the clock runs out.
In Flags you pick the country from four names, chosen from flags that look alike. In Flags (Typed) you type the name yourself, in English, German, Spanish or French, and a small typo is forgiven.
About these games
A run lasts sixty seconds, and playing alone the minute starts with your first answer. A correct answer earns 100 points plus a speed bonus, a streak doubles and then triples what each answer is worth, and a wrong answer costs 25 points and resets the streak. You also get three skips per run, which cost nothing.
Easy plays the 60 best-known flags, Medium every sovereign state, 197 in all, and Hard all 225, territories included. Start with Flags on Easy, where the four choices teach you which flags look alike. Flags (Typed) tests recall rather than recognition, and the speed bonus shrinks while you type.
Both are free in your browser without signing in, and your best score for each mode and difficulty is kept in this browser. Signed in, you can open an online table for two to eight players, who race through the same flags in the same order. The host picks the mode and the difficulty, and the highest score wins.
