Sudoku comes as Classic and Killer, on the full nine by nine grid or a quicker six by six. In Mahjong you match pairs of free tiles until the board is clear, on the layout you choose. In Hangman you guess the word one letter at a time before the drawing is finished, and the Solitaire page holds Klondike, FreeCell, Canfield, Forty Thieves, Yukon and Spider with their relatives, along with Pyramid, Calculation, Aces Up and Aces and Kings.

About these games

The puzzles differ in how much luck is involved. Every Sudoku has exactly one solution that can be reasoned out from the start, while a Mahjong or solitaire board can be dealt with no way to win unless you switch on Winnable. Hangman is about letters and vocabulary rather than logic, and a word is lost on the sixth miss.

A 6x6 Sudoku has only 36 cells to fill and a Hangman word is over after six misses, while a nine by nine Killer Sudoku or a Mahjong layout of up to 144 tiles asks for longer. Sudoku lets you choose Easy, Medium or Hard, while in Mahjong the layout sets the challenge, from the open Seven to the tight Seven Pyramids.

Mahjong, Sudoku and Hangman each have a hint and an undo, though a Sudoku or Hangman board finished after a hint is not recorded as a win. Every puzzle is free in your browser without an account, and signing in adds daily puzzles, the same for everyone that day.
