Dominoes games

Match the open ends and empty your hand first.

All three are played with a double-six set against one to three computer players. In the Draw game a player who cannot play draws from the boneyard. In the Block game nobody draws, so hands block more often, and All Fives scores during play whenever the open ends add up to a multiple of five.

About these games

A hand ends when someone plays their last tile or the table blocks, and its winner scores from the pips left in the other hands. The Draw game is the one to start with: a player who cannot play draws from the boneyard instead of passing, so a hand can only block once the boneyard is empty, and a game runs to 100 points with two players or 61 with three or four.

The Block game is tighter: you play out only the tiles you were dealt, and noticing which numbers the others pass on matters more. All Fives changes the aim: most points come from making the open ends add up to a multiple of five during play, its first double becomes a spinner that lets the line grow in four directions, and the game runs to 150.
