Sir Tommy Solitaire
How to play Sir Tommy
Build four foundations from Ace to King, any suit.
About Sir Tommy
Sir Tommy is a one-deck solitaire game played like Calculation, through four waste piles, except that its four foundations each start from an Ace and build up one rank at a time.
All four foundations start empty and all 52 cards are in the stock. Each Ace starts a foundation of its own, and every foundation then takes the next rank up, whatever the suit.
No foundation can start until an Ace turns up, so every card turned before the first Ace goes to a waste pile. With all 52 cards passing through the stock, there are four more cards to place than in Calculation.
Because all four foundations climb the same way, a waste pile with high cards underneath and lower ones on top unwinds in order as they grow: a Nine, then a Seven, then a Four, for example. An Ace never needs parking, since an empty foundation always takes one; keep the waste piles for cards that come too early.
The goal of Calculation
Build all four foundations up to thirteen cards, each one ending on a King. Suits never matter, only ranks.
How to set up Calculation
Beside the foundations are four waste piles, which start empty. The top card of the stock is face up and ready to play.
Calculation rules
Play the top stock card onto a foundation that wants it next, or park it on any of the four waste piles. Only the top card of a waste pile can move, and only onto a foundation. Cards never move from one waste pile to another, and the stock is played through once, with no redeal.
Click a card to play it: to a foundation that wants it or, for the stock card, to the waste pile the game rates best. Drag a card to choose the pile yourself. With Autoplay off in Settings, only a drag moves a card.
